This position involves administration and monitoring of our servers in various locations world-wide. You will be responsible for technical support and user training. Together with our web designer you will develop web based user interfaces and server based configuration applications.

Typical functions include:

• Configuration and performance tuning of Apache webservers
• Designing, installation and maintaining SQL databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL)
• Working with client-side web technologies (JavaScript/AJAX, CSS, XHTML)
• Developing server software using Perl/Python/PHP/Shell scripting
• On-site installation of hardware equipment
• First level support for our customers
• Additional duties as requested or assigned.

Key Qualifications

• Post secondary degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• 3+ years experience as systems administrator
• 3+ years coding experience
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Flexibility and Can-do attitude
• Must be an expert in PHP / JavaScript / CSS / MySQL / AJAX
• Willingness to travel (10-20%)
• Must be a team player, able to work both independently and interact with management and customers
